Audio Recordings

Thank you for visiting this page of our website. I am so happy to be able to offer these CDs as an accompaniment to my songbooks for learning purposes. They are an electronic representation of my Sibelius Notation computer program files, and is exactly what is written in the book.

I chose to use a piano setting rather than a harp setting for clarity and ease of listening. A computer just can’t generate a very good sounding harp (thank goodness!)

Each CD plays through the contents of the book twice. The first time, all the tunes are played at the recommended metronome marking. The second time the tune is played at a slower speed, to allow you to play along and get more familiar with the tune. The slower version is somewhere between 10-30 metronome markings slower. Of course, you may play the tunes at any speed you like.

Because rolled chords and other dynamic markings did not always translate well to the CD, I often took them out. However, you may want to use them where they are marked in the music. I was able to represent glissandos, so I did include them.
