The Blond Ceili and Serenade

Our Ceili and Serenades are generally made with a maple neck and mahogany pillar, top block and feet. The top block is the piece of wood between the soundbox and the neck. When the Serenade is stained, the color all works very well together. On the Blond Serenade, the natural color of the Okume does not exactly match the maple neck, creating a pleasing variety of colors in the harp makeup. Some people like that and some people would rather have a more uniform look. Below are three options available for the blond Serenade.

The blond Serenade on the left has a Maple pillar, top block and feet (tall). On the right is a blond Serenade with a Mahogany pillar, top block and feet. In both of these harps the neck is maple and the soundbox is Okume (Mahogany). With these two options, there is no stain. These harps, also, do not have any binding down the front of the soundbox.

(See below for the thrid option).

THE THIRD OPTION:

The Third option is to stain the neck and pillar to match the binding down the front of the harp. The Natural Blond Koa trimmed Serenade harp on the left and the Natural Blond Koa trimmed Ceili harp on the right has the neck and pillar stained with amber.

The Natural Blond Walnut trimmed Serenade on the left has the neck and pillar stained with walnut and the Natural Blond Bubinga trimmed Ceili on the right has the neck and pillar stained with Chestnut.
